As it is well known that Uganda government doesn’t support and tolerate homosexuality or same sex marriage ,it was quite paying to the two young men John and Charles Ntambi who were assaulted by mob for allegedly being taken as homosexuals on June 22, 2019. The two young boys were spotted by a local resident of Kilak village as they walked down the street and identified one of them as a renowned gay from Banda, Kampala suburb.
The local extensively explained that he also resided in Banda and witnessed the attack the arrest of one of the gay by Banda police with the help of locals in the area . he was Undressed and exposed to public , one of them was found wearing female underwear and this intensified the mob’s anger. Beaten to unconsciousness, the mob prepared to set the two young men on braze but were interrupted by a well-known and feared UPDF veteran who also was able to take them to the village health center. Our reporter followed up and found out that no investigations of the attack have been made by authorities though the where about of the gays is still at large
its well known that the Uganda government condemn the same sex practice of homosexual or lesbian and if found in the act or practicing it you are remanded and sentenced to prison for some years
according to the local council defense chief Ibrahim ,was bitter of how they handled the matters that led to such culprits escape .
