- Nakivubo War Memorial Stadium
The government has announced that Nakivubo Stadium, once completed, will be a state-of-the-art sports complex, thanks to a $49m project spearheaded by businessman Hamis Kiggundu.

The stadium’s construction has transformed the downtown area of Kampala, and the malls surrounding it have contributed to the city’s newfound respectable appearance. When completed this year, the stadium will boast a gym, medical facility, restaurants, and other amenities.
With a seating capacity of 35,000, Nakivubo Stadium will host a variety of sports such as football, volleyball, athletics, and boxing, among others.
2.Kampala Fly-Over
Despite still being under construction, the project has visibly transformed the city from an ordinary one to a smart city.
The extension of the flyover on Queen’s Way and Gaba Road near Clocktower Junction is expected to be completed soon, while the pedestrian bridge or overpass at Clocktower and Mukwano Kibili Junction and Shoprite are nearly finished.

The tunnel works are already done, and more roads are being worked on. The traffic flow has significantly improved since the opening of more roads to motorists, and the Queensway area has expanded, creating more traffic space beneath the “KampalaFlyover”.
This development is promoting road safety and reducing air pollution by decreasing the amount of exhaust fumes in the air.
3. Nsambya Underpass Road “Subway”
The Kampala flyover road project includes a remarkable addition to Uganda’s infrastructure: the Nsambya underpass road. Once completed, it will become the longest subway in the country and will play a crucial role in reducing traffic congestion in Kampala City.

Situated near Arena Mall, this modern road features advanced footbridges that manage pedestrian movement and enhance safety. It is designed to accommodate traffic from several major roads, such as Ggaba Road, Mukwano Road, Prince Badru Kakungulu Road, and Nsambya Road, allowing for smoother travel to and from the city center.
4. Pioneer Mall
The construction of this building in Kampala has brought about a significant transformation in the city’s appearance.
Even though it is still being built and located behind Mapeera House, and opposite Mabirizi complex, it has already altered Kampala’s skyline to the extent that some have dubbed it ‘Kampala’s Burj Khalifa’.

Although its cost remains unknown, the building is already occupied up to the fourth floor.
A few projects have been detailed, but many more are still not mentioned
