Kampala, Uganda – In a shocking turn of events, a bustling day on Parliamentary Avenue came to a halt as police cordoned off the area following a fatal shooting at Raja Chambers. The incident unfolded when an armed assailant, a police officer attached to counter terrorism, allegedly targeted and killed a prominent money lender of Indian nationality within his office premises.
Eyewitnesses, still shaken by the harrowing ordeal, reported that the assailant, disguised in a Counter Terrorism unit uniform, meticulously tracked the Indian national’s movements. According to accounts, the assailant patiently awaited the moment when the victim emerged from Yako Bank, seizing the opportunity to unleash a fatal shot upon him.
Initial reports suggest that the motive behind the attack may have been an attempted robbery, as the assailant apparently had intentions of absconding with an undisclosed sum of money contained in the victim’s bag. However, detectives and law enforcement authorities are currently piecing together evidence and interviewing eyewitnesses in an effort to unravel the true motive behind this heinous act.
Authorities have swiftly launched a manhunt for the suspected shooter, intensifying efforts to apprehend the fugitive officer. The Police Department has called upon the public to remain vigilant and report any relevant information that could aid in the investigation.
