The Uganda Police Force has intervened to de-escalate tensions between musicians Pallaso and Alien Skin, following a series of violent clashes fueled by their long-standing rivalry.
The mediation effort, led by Chief Political Commissar AIGP Ubaldo Bamunoba, aims to prevent further confrontations and encourage peaceful conflict resolution.
The intervention follows a violent altercation where Pallaso allegedly attacked Alien Skin’s home, leading to property destruction and injuries. The incident stemmed from a performance dispute at the Empelle Festival.
Recognizing the growing gang-related violence within Uganda’s music industry, the police took action to curb further escalation.
AIGP Bamunoba met with Alien Skin at the Police Headquarters in Naguru to discuss the ongoing disputes and their consequences.
“I met Alien Skin to discuss the controversies involving him and Pallaso. I advised him to avoid retaliation and instead seek mediation and reconciliation,” Bamunoba stated.
He assured that he would reach out to Pallaso to facilitate a peaceful dialogue between the two artists.
Bamunoba emphasized that musicians hold significant influence over young fans and should set a positive example.
“Our goal is to encourage peaceful conflict resolution within the music industry, ensuring that these high-profile artists serve as role models to the youth,” he added.
The police continue to monitor the situation and remain committed to maintaining peace in Uganda’s entertainment industry.
