Asake, devastated by the tragedy, posted a heartfelt message on Instagram. He expressed how deeply the event affected him and pledged to support efforts to uncover the truth and ensure that similar tragedies do not occur again.
Kenyan police spokesperson Michael Muchiri confirmed the incident. He reassured the public that the police successfully contained the crowds, preventing further fatalities. However, Muchiri acknowledged that crowd control was insufficient. He emphasized that investigations will uncover what went wrong and help prevent similar incidents. Muchiri also mentioned that investigations typically conclude within a few weeks.
