Addressing a news conference at police headquarters Naguru, Fred Enanga the police spokesperson noted that the eight family members were arrested after it was established that they held a meeting prior to the murder of Sheikh Mutumba Masudi while they plotted to murder him due to the existing land conflicts.

Eight family members in Bugiri district have been arrested in connection to the murder of Sheikh Masudi Mutumba the Imam of Lwemba Mosque who was shot dead on Friday last week while at his home in Busimbi Village in Bugiri district
