Ham Enterprises Writes off all Rent Arrears on Building Premises

Ham enterprises (U) Ltd has written off all rent areas of all tenants on all the company buildings with the aim to enable the company tenants regain their stability in Business as a result of the Coronavirus Hardships

The impact of Covid19 on Ugandans has been deeply felt especially to the wider business community that had been stopped from operating due to the mandatory lockdown by the government. Many small business owners have been kicked out of business while others do not have enough resources to continue operating especially those that have un-cleared rent arrears. The good news is that Ham Enterprises (U) Ltd has come out and pardoned all their tenants from rent arrears according to information published on the company’s social media pages.

“Due to the downward Effect of COVID-19 on the entire Business Community in the Country at Large, We at Ham Enterprises U Ltd have taken a decision to write off all Outstanding Rental Arrears in Order to give our Tenants Ability to Regain Stability in their Businesses on all our Business Premises. FOR GOD AND MY COUNTRY”, Reads a post on the Company’s Facebook Page.

It Should be remembered that in July 2020, Tycoon Hamis Kiggundu Pardoned his tenants from paying 2 months’ rent as a result of Covid19 lockdown where shops spent 4 months shut without any business activity on directives of government put in place to prevent and control the spread of Covid-19 in the masses.

We at Uganda Times feel that every landlord who loves Uganda and wish his tenants to prosper would emulate Ham Enterprises.
