Dubai has opened the first shopping mall in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region that specializes in high-end home furniture and interior design solutions. The Art of Living shopping mall is located in Barsha 2 – Umm Suqeim Road, spanning 50,000 square meters over three levels, featuring a variety of brands, including newcomers to the regional market.
The interior design industry in the GCC region is expected to reach $5.2 billion by 2025 due to factors such as the increasing population, rising urbanization, thriving construction and real estate sectors, and growing demand for eco-friendly designs that drive innovation in the field.
According to Dr. Samer Al Omari, Art of Living’s CEO and Partner, the region has shown a significant increase in demand for luxury furniture, with Dubai becoming a hub for luxury real estate, and the UAE being the largest interior design market in the GCC, followed by Saudi Arabia and Qatar.
Art of Living offers high-quality home décor, furniture, kids’ furniture, outdoor furniture, and décor accessories. The mall’s aim is to provide customers with a unique experience that caters to their specific needs and preferences.
The mall offers a range of services, including access to a shopping consultant who guides customers on a tour across the mall and a team of dedicated interior design professionals to assist shoppers.
Additionally, the mall includes various amenities such as cafés, restaurants, free parking, a cigar lounge, and a kids’ play area. Al Omari stated that the mall’s mission is to be a one-stop-shop for individuals and interior designers to find everything they need under one roof.
Art of Living’s unique offerings enable it to establish strategic partnerships with key developers in the region and position itself as the ultimate destination for luxury home décor, design, and furniture in the MENA region, aiming to acquire a market share of at least 30% of the furnished properties market.
