Hon. Agnes Nanduttu, the State Minister for Karamoja Affairs and Woman MP for Bududa District in Luzira women’s prison as a decision on her bail application is set for hearing today Thursday, May 4th.
Nandutu has been in prison since April 19th after being charged with dealing with suspected property meant for Karamoja people.
Her lawyers are seeking bail on medical grounds, as she suffers from a life-threatening disease called Severe Venous Insufficiency.
The prosecution wants Nandutu denied bail, citing that she first went into hiding after learning that the police were looking for her.
Judge Jane Okuo Kajuga will make a ruling on Nandutu’s bail application
