Officials from the Kampala Entebbe Expressway management said the Bosco Senyonjo crash may have been linked to driver fatigue after a long journey.

The statement indicated that the driver reportedly dozed off during the journey.
Expressway authorities confirmed that their incident response team quickly arrived at the scene and worked with police officers to control traffic and secure the crash site.

Police explain cause of Bosco Senyonjo crash
Uganda Police offered a different explanation regarding the cause of the Bosco Senyonjo crash.
Traffic Police spokesperson SP Michael Kananura said investigators believe the vehicle was travelling at high speed when the driver lost control.
According to police findings, the vehicle first struck the base of a streetlight pole along the expressway.
It then hit a road pillar before overturning several times.
The violent impact caused fatal injuries to three occupants, including the driver.
Police officers who responded to the accident transported the injured victims to Grade B Hospital for immediate medical attention.
Doctors later referred them to another medical facility for further treatment.
