The speaker of parliament of Uganda has just visited the the student of Nalya Lugazi Mixed Sch who was shot in the mouth by a KCCA/ Police squad on 11th March
in her words he was so disappointed by the kcca and police as well .
I’ve just been to Mulago Hospital’s ward 7 to check on Lowena Rachael Nkya, the S.6 student of Nalya Lugazi Mixed Sch, who was shot in the mouth by a KCCA/ Police squad on 11th March.
I’m so hurt. Neither the KCCA nor police leadership have ever checked on her! And this is despite a Parliament command that they do so & foot the medical & upkeep expenses!
This lack of empathy is disturbing.
Nkya’s mother, who was accompanying her to school, on that day, was also shot & is admitted in the same hospital. Nkya lost seven teeth and cannot eat food. She gets nourishment only through fluids!
The Hospital Director, Dr Baterana Byarugaba, and Dr Francis Lakor, the Oral & Maxillo Facial consultant surgeon, have assured me of their best efforts to ameliorate the health of the two patients.
I’ve personally given the two patients shillings one million (1m/-).
