National Unity Platform President, Robert Kyagulanyi Sentamu, Applauds Dr. Kizza Besigye’s Political Mentorship
Robert Kyagulanyi Sentamu, the President of the National Unity Platform, has expressed his gratitude to Dr. Kizza Besigye, a four-time presidential candidate, for his mentorship in the political arena.
Kyagulanyi made these remarks during a radio talk show in Rukungiri, the hometown of Dr. Besigye. “I am delighted to be here in the home of our icon, Dr. Kizza Besigye. As my colleagues have mentioned, we have been united with him for a long time, and he has significantly mentored us into what we are today,” Kyagulanyi stated.
He emphasized that the challenges faced in Rukungiri district are similar to those experienced across the entire country, and he aims to remind the masses of these issues. “We appreciate the people of Rukungiri for their love and support. We are here to remind everyone that the problems faced in Rukungiri are also present in Kampala, Gulu, Soroti, and other districts nationwide. To those who believe that the western districts of Uganda are well-off, you are mistaken.”
Kyadondo East MP, Muwada Nkunyingi, noted that despite facing interruptions from security agencies, being hosted on a radio show in Rukungiri was encouraging and should be replicated in other districts they have visited.
