Aster DM Healthcare Donates Mobile Medical Clinic to Uganda in Groundbreaking Health Deal
Uganda’s Ministry of Health has signed a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Aster DM Healthcare, a Dubai-based healthcare giant, marking a major step forward in delivering medical services to remote communities in Uganda.
Announced by the Consulate General of Uganda in Dubai, the agreement outlines the donation of a fully equipped mobile medical clinic by Aster DM Healthcare. This initiative is set to enhance access to primary healthcare in underserved and hard-to-reach regions across the country.
Modern Clinic, Global Support
Currently under construction in India, the mobile clinic will feature comprehensive diagnostic and treatment facilities. It is expected to be shipped and operational in Uganda within the next three months.
Aster DM Healthcare is one of the largest integrated healthcare providers in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), with services spanning hospitals, pharmacies, clinics, and its digital health platform, myAster. The company’s expansion into humanitarian partnerships like this reflects its broader commitment to global health equity.
Official Launch in Kampala
An official signing ceremony will soon be held in Kampala, with attendance expected from high-ranking officials from Uganda’s Ministry of Health, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and senior executives from Aster DM Healthcare.
This partnership marks just the beginning of a broader collaboration. Future phases will include deploying UAE-based medical professionals to work side-by-side with local Ugandan teams. Plans are also underway for specialist outreach missions, training programs, and knowledge-sharing initiatives aimed at strengthening Uganda’s healthcare system.
The deal reflects growing international cooperation aimed at closing healthcare gaps and supporting sustainable health infrastructure development in Uganda.
