Hudu Hussein, a Regional District Commissioner (RDC) in Uganda, will not be awarded a post-graduate Diploma in Legal Practice until he passes his retakes, according to results seen by a local newspaper.
Hudu, an alumnus of the Islamic University in Uganda, scored below the pass mark in several papers, including civil litigation, with a score of just 27%.
A lecturer at the Law Development Centre (LDC) criticized Hudu’s behavior on social media, stating that he spends more time “tweeting rubbish” than studying.
Hudu is known for his support of the MK movement, a pressure group backing the presidential bid of Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba, the son of Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni. Some sources close to Hudu claim that his poor results were due to a vendetta against him by LDC lecturers who oppose Muhoozi’s presidential bid.
Despite being a successful Regional District Commissioner, Hudu’s academic setbacks mean he will need to repeat the year at LDC to complete his studies.
