Law enforcement authorities swiftly responded to the scene, recovering two rifles, two small magazines, and two sets of company uniforms from the shared room of the guards. Preliminary investigations indicate that Mr. John suffered a fatal gunshot wound to the forehead, leading to profuse bleeding.
The motive behind the shooting remains unclear, prompting an ongoing investigation to uncover the truth. The primary objective is to apprehend Mr. Peter, and the police urge the public to provide any relevant information that could aid in his capture.
This incident follows closely on the heels of another fatal shooting involving a police officer and a money lender, fueling growing concerns about gun management within law enforcement in Uganda.
