Huawei Takes Steps to Protect Brand by Removing Logo and Brand from Third-Party Products

April 12, 2023

Huawei is a global company with business partners all over the world, but it is taking steps to protect its brand by asking third-party partners to remove the Huawei brand from their products.

While using the Huawei logo or brand in promoting products may be good for the partners, it could negatively affect Huawei’s reputation.

After the 2022 annual results, Huawei’s founder and chairman, Ren Zhengfei, signed an announcement requiring partners to remove any references related to Huawei from their products.

Some partners have already complied, such as AITO, which removed all Huawei logos and references from its car promotions. However, phone makers still have the right to use Huawei’s designs without using the name “Huawei” in their sales and promotional slogans.

Huawei’s actions are aimed at protecting its brand and avoiding any misuse of it by partners or individuals.
